With the lines between home and work so blurred as we continue to wfh for the foreseeable future, I've been daydreaming about an escape to nature to take some time to rest and unplug. To keep myself entertained, I've been browsing Airbnb for fun while keeping in mind the travel recommendations during this pandemic and the importance of considering the safety of all.
I came across some tiny house listings on Airbnb and Getaway, which, if you're not familiar with, is a site that helps you find tiny cabin and vacation rentals in Boston, NYC, DC, and etc. areas.
Gaining popularity in the late 2010's, the tiny-house movement is an architectural and social movement that advocates living simply in small homes whether they be cabins, geodesic domes, or even renovated shipping containers.
I don't think I'd ever live in a tiny house full time though! I have claustrophobia, which is why I dislike crowds and crowded rooms, and it also means that small spaces freak me out, and I even have to sleep with my bedroom door open most nights, but I was just so captivated by these cute tiny homes and their innovative design and modern decor!! I think trying out the tiny home lifestyle would be a perfect vacation since it'd cut out so many of the unnecessary things of daily life to allow for a couple of days of pure relaxation. I'm sharing some of these New York tiny houses with y'all if you ever find yourself looking for a tiny getaway!
