Every year, our company has a summer social to celebrate summer's arrival and to connect with other NY colleagues. It was held at the waterfront restaurant Boat Basin Cafe located by West 79th Street and Hudson River on the Upper West Side when I interned. This year, it's going to be at Pier Sixty, located within the Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex!
OUTFIT DETAILS
I'm wearing the Petite Cotton Sateen Tie Front Sheath Dress from Ann Taylor in Pearl Blush (size 00 Petite for reference). I love Ann Taylor dresses because they're so comfortable, and I can wear them all day at work. Most of their pieces are machine washable, which is great because I have an in-unit washing machine, and I find it so hard to find the time to drop things off for dry-cleaning.
I love how the flattering front trim of this piece puts a modern spin on Ann Taylor's classic fitted sheath dress and the polished cotton sateen. I also prefer sleeveless work dresses during the summer since I sweat a lot, so this dress was everything I was looking for.
I am not super thrilled to have paired it with a pair of metallic silver mules, but these were the only shoes I had at the office that weren't heels. Head to toe naturals would have been the way to go here in my opinion.
