Spring is right around the corner, and I just looove the open-toe-shoe season. Although it's not quite warm enough in NYC just yet, you can start pairing them with a cute sweater and jeans. Whether you like simple slide-and-go sandals or those with the lace-up design, there are so many trendy shoes to choose from!
These are one of my favorites—the Day Crossover Sandal from Everlane is available for $88 in Black, Camel, Mocha and Rose. The Italian leather sandals features wide, criss-cross straps that are double-folded to avoid chafing and blisters. These really are a pair of shoes that you can walk around in all day whether you're in the office or off exploring a new city. I like the quality of Everlane shoes, and the leather is so soft.
I think it's also great that Everlane has transparent pricing so that consumers know the cost it takes to make their products. For the Day Crossover Sandals, the true cost is $34.59, which is made up of: materials that cost $12.98, labor $17.11, duties $3.10, and transport $1.40.
I also love Dolce Vita's Zayla Wooden Block Heel Sandals ($120) in Ivory Leather, which also comes in black or a snake print.
Heels and sandals with a square-shaped toe box are so in this season and the crossover strap design on this one is so stylish! The 2" wooden block heel is also a great height and just enough to add a few inches to your leg to give the illusion of longer legs.
Sorel is most well-known for their winter boots, but the brand also carries other types of shoes including one of their top-selling sandals.
The Ella Sandal from Sorel ($80) is minimal and chic and comes in a variety of neutral colors such as Ancient Fossil or Ash Brown and fun colors like Vivid Mint or Warm Gold if you want to add a pop of color.
Next up is Steve Madden's Mckenzie Espadrille Wedges ($90), available in black, neon pink, tan, or white. These will add a sweet vibe to any outfit. I'm such a big fan of the vegan leather toe band and slingback straps, which make the wedges very easy to slip on and out of. I just think that espadrille-wrapped wedges are always perfect for a spring into summer look!
The heel is 4" with a 1/2" platform, and as someone who owns another pair of Steve Madden wedge heels even taller than these, I can say from personal experience that they don't feel that tall, and you'll be able to stand or walk around in them for hours. For reference, I typically wear a size 6 or 6.5 in Steve Madden wedges.
Last but not least, let's not forget the classics. There's always my all-time favorite: Rainbows. They are just sooo comfy and perfect lounging around or for a trip to the beach, pool, or lake. I prefer the Flirty Braidy Flip Flop, Narrow Strap Flip Flops, or the Twisted Sister Sandal, since they're a bit more feminine than the original thick strap in my opinion.
