“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year." -Charles Dickens
We went to the Christmas in July benefit hosted by the Catholic Charities NY Junior Board in support the St. Nicholas project, since my boyfriend volunteers with the organization and helped with the event this year. The project provides winter necessities to more than 4,000 New Yorkers in need, along with critical training and supplies throughout the year. It was a fun event at the Penn Club and was in support of such an important cause!
I wore a jumpsuit I had found on sale 75% at Nordstrom Rack—it was under $40!!! The strapless jumpsuit is sooo comfy and flowy, perfect for the hot, humid Manhattan night. The material is high quality, and the black color is such a classic look. I paired it with ankle strap block heel sandals or you could also wear it with flats for a more casual vibe.
I don't really own any cocktail dresses and have trouble finding dresses for semi-formal occasions, so this black jumpsuit was a great find. I also tend to avoid jumpsuits since I'm only 5'1", and most of them are just too long on me, but this one was just perfect with heels on. I absolutely love the ruffles with the sweetheart neckline!
